Colorectal Cancer Awareness is a project of great concern to United Community Health Center. The “We know that early detection of colorectal cancer is key to reducing the effects of this disease, therefore United Community Health Center is offering free Colorectal Cancer Screening kits to the public as ongoing support of the Storm Lake Cancer Task Force objectives,” explains Renea Seagren, CEO of United Community Health Center.
Individuals wishing to participate in the free cancer screening test are invited to stop by United Community Health Center located at 630 Ontario, Storm Lake to receive the screening kit.
Once the screening kit is completed by the individual it should be returned to United Community Health Center for processing. You do not need to be a current patient of United Community Health Center to participate in this free cancer screening event. The screening test results will be reported to your family physician for follow up.
Data supports a high incidence of late-stage colorectal cancer in Buena Vista and surrounding counties. Early detection is a key component in battling colorectal cancer and United Community Health Center is here to assist you.
